Our Resident Experts Topics Covered
Teen Pregnancy, NLP, Self Esteem
Kelly Marquet-Bodio, Minister, CDVC
When Kelly tells a client she ‘knows’ what they are going through, she means she has actually gone through it herself.
“I was a pregnant teen and a teen parent,” Kelly tells a new client. “I understand your fear.”
She also knows firsthand what it is like to have to raise your own grandchild. Kelly gained custody of her granddaughter when the mother became unable to provide a stable life for her daughter and asked her family to step in. “It was not an easy choice for her,” reflects Kelly, “but I truly respect her decision to consider the child first.”
“I have experienced the blessings as well as the challenges that come with all of it,” she often tells parents. “I have had to make the same hard choices and decisions that you will have to make. That’s why I am committed to helping you on what is going to be a very transformative journey”.
More than just personal experience, she has the knowledge, training and ability to help young women and their families handle the crisis they are facing.
Kelly Marquet-Bodio often plays the role of counselor, coach, and advocate. She is a Career Counselor, NLP Master Practitioner, Ordained Minister and Certified Domestic Violence Counselor (CDVC). At any point in time she is working with a number of young women, counseling them in regard to their careers, coaching them on life challenges, and advocating for pregnant teens as they try to make smart choices.

Darlynn Morgan – Morgan Law Group
Have You Documented Who Should Care for Your Kids if Something Happens to You?
Whether you are a parent or a grandparent raising your grandchildren, it’s every parent’s worst nightmare-suddenly passing away and not having the opportunity to see your minor children grow up and thrive through adulthood.
And while this is definitely a scary thought, have you considered what life would be like for your kids? Who would they stay with? What funds would be used to provide for their care? Who would manage such funds? How easy will their life be in your absence?
Fortunately, you have more control over this than you think. While it’s impossible to predict when a life-threatening illness or accident may occur, as parents we CAN plan ahead to make sure our children will be raised by the people we want, in a way we want, if something unexpectedly happens.
Entitlement Issue Coach
Karen Deerwester – Author and Child Advocate
In a world of quick fixes and instant gratification, children with entitlement issues are everywhere – making demands at the grocery store, bickering at birthday parties, and setting their own rules with mom and dad. But how do you combat this problem at home while still building your child’s confidence and self-esteem?
The Entitlement-Free Child is every parent’s answer to raising children in an entitlement world. This book explains how we got here and how to move away from entitlement behavior. It explains how entitlement thinking (Me! Mine! Now!) is based on the fear and the panic that there won’t be “enough” for me if I don’t get it all now. It then gives parents effective alternatives to the quick fixes and the short-term solutions of giving-in and buying up. By highlighting the entitlement or entitlement-free messages in everyday parenting situations, The Entitlement-Free Child shows parents how to meet a child’s genuine needs while teaching respect and appreciation for others.
